Job Description: Economics Research Officer · The Strategic Asia Indonesia Office is seeking an exceptional officer with a demonstrated interest in the political and economic challenges facing countries in Asia especially in Indonesia and preferably also in India and China. · We are currently seeking a research officer with strong research/writing skills and an interest in at least one of the following areas: 1. Economic forecasting (econometrics / statistical analysis) 2. Macroeconomic policy issues and analysis Responsibilities: The Economic Research Officer’s duties will cover, but not be limited to, the following: · Tracking and researching global policy issues within the context of Indonesia · Writing policy briefs and standalone papers on economic issues such as growth, inequalities, and industry building within Indonesia and also on economic issues within the context of the Asian region · Developing economic forecasting with other senior members of the Strategic Asia team · Attending and reporting on conferences, seminars and meetings with key thinkers in the field of economics · Assisting with department administrative and logistical duties and needed Schedule: The Research Officer is expected to be in office Monday‐Friday from 8:30‐5:00pm.
